Classics over Sands – something for everyone

With 300 entries and counting, we have a wonderful array of cars from the dawn of motoring till 2000. Whether you love American cars, such as the Chevy Bel Air or the amazing Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, to European ’90s sports cars like the Fiat X19 or Mercedes Pagoda, there really is something for everyone. We’ve lots of British sports cars, MGB’s Austin Healey’s and Triumphs, as well as some of the more rare marks, such a Rileys, Morgans and the Reliant Scimitar.

Maybe you prefer Rolls Royce, or the incredible Aston Martin Lagonda (space age looks in a 1980’s car) you’ll simply love wandering around bumping into the off Soviet vehicle or Mini pickup.

Join us on Sunday 10th August, just £7.50 per adult, children free and free parking. Gates open at 10am.

Our Charities for 2025 Classics over Sands

We’ve chosen our national charity for 2025 as Alzheimers Society, a major charity that supports research into this crippling decease that afflicts so many as they grow older.

Our local Charity is growing well, a local Cumbrian Charity which uses horticulture as a means of helping those experiencing moderate to severe mental health.

For more information check out our new page on the website “our chosen charities for 2025”.

Gearing up for the biggest Classic car show in the South Lakes

With nearly 300 entries to Classics over Sands on Sunday 11th August 2024, there really is something for everyone, Over the coming weeks I’ll spotlight some of the varied cars and motorbikes attending this year. First up is David and Sandra’s 1964 Vauxhall Victor FB deluxe from 1964. We probably all remember these on the roads, in fact one of my friends had one as his first car (before he wrote it off). Its been lovingly looked after and remains outside all year, so not cosseted like so many classics! A real rarity and one of a handful still on the road.
