Identified in a ‘bit of a state’ in an Italian barn and imported into the UK in 2008, this machine, when restored, completed a Milano Taranto (category win) in addition to four Moto Giro* d’Italia long-distance regularity events between 2011 and 2017. These 175cc single cylinder models were the first production overhead camshaft motorcycles offered by Ducati, being based on the successful racing machines of 1954-6. The design gave rise to capacities of 200, 250, 350 and 450cc, manufactured in Italy until 1974.
