This car is one of only 500 RHD cars imported to UK and was how BMW homologated the coupe for European touring car racing in the 1970, which in won a number of times. The L is for lightweight and made the doors bonnet and boot lid from aluminium. Fitted bucket seats and dispensed with the luxuries normally fitted to these cars .
